Biography:
Amy Hill Nation is a Huntsville native who graduated from Randolph School in 2003.  She received a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Alabama in 2007, cum laude, and a juris doctor from the University of Alabama in 2010. In her third year of law school, Amy was recognized for achieving the highest grade in the law school’s Elder Law Clinic, which provides free legal services to individuals in West Alabama who are over the age of sixty. After graduating from law school, Amy moved back to her hometown to practice law with Wilmer & Lee, P.A. Amy practices in the areas of estate planning, probate law, corporate law, airport law, and general civil litigation. Amy is currently enrolled in the 2016-2018 LL.M. in Taxation program at The University of Alabama School of Law. She is admitted to practice in the State of Alabama, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama. Amy is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association and the Huntsville Madison County Bar Association. In 2013, Amy was chosen to serve on the Executive Council for the Young Lawyers Section of the Alabama State Bar Association. Amy is a member of the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program, and she has enjoyed providing pro bono legal services through that program. Amy also enjoys serving on the board of directors for the Heart of the Valley YMCA. Amy’s husband, Lee, is also an attorney, and they recently welcomed their first child, Jimmy.
