Wilmer & Lee, P.A. Attorney, and Alabama State Bar President-Elect, Richard Raleigh joins ASB Bar President Anthony Joseph in accepting award on behalf of Alabama State Bar Leadership Forum

Huntsville, Ala. – September 24, 2013 – At the 2013 meeting of the National Conference of Bar Presidents and National Conference of Bar Executives recently in San Francisco, the Alabama State Bar Leadership Forum was honored as a dynamic, highly effective model for nurturing and developing leadership skills and values among qualified, promising lawyers.  Wilmer & Lee, P.A. attorney and managing shareholder, Richard Raleigh, joined President of the Alabama State Bar Anthony Joseph in accepting the annual American Bar Association’s E. Smythe Gambrell Professionalism Award, which recognizes programs of excellence and innovation contributing to the understanding of professionalism among lawyers.  Now in its ninth year, the Alabama State Bar Leadership Forum illuminates a pathway that other states may follow in nourishing servant-minded bar and community leadership.  Raleigh, who was a graduate of the first ASB Leadership Forum class, served for two years as an officer of the Leadership Forum Alumni Section and served on the selection committee for 5 classes of the award winning program.  Also representing the Alabama State Bar in San Francisco were Executive Director of the Alabama State Bar Keith Norman, Assistant Executive Director of the Alabama State Bar Edward Patterson, Past Leadership Forum Alumni Section Chair Rebecca DePalma, and current Chair Andrew Nix.
