Benjamin obtained his JD from the University of Nebraska College of Law, where he participated as an active member in The Federalist Society, presiding over the club as president for a year, the Robert Van Pelt Inn of Court, and the St. Thomas More Society. He also participated in the Grether Moot Court Competition and was recognized for his legal writing by achieving the McGrath Mullin & Kratz Excellence in Legal Writing Award. In addition to his legal accomplishments, Benjamin graduated cum laude with a BS in Information Technology Systems from The University of Texas at Dallas.

Benjamin served as a senior certified law student at the UNL Criminal Prosecution Clinic in collaboration with the Lancaster County Attorney’s Office. There he managed charging decisions, negotiated plea deals, and represented the State of Nebraska in various court proceedings. He also worked as a law clerk for the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office in the Civil Litigation and Criminal Prosecution Divisions and as a policy research extern at the Nebraska Catholic Conference.
